FIELD: medical instrument engineering, in particular, instruments of ophthalmology designed for clinical examination of objects of fundus of the eye. SUBSTANCE: the device comprises an ophthalmologic lens in a tube, meter and a forehead ophthalmoscope. The tube carries a forehead rest for movement in parallel with the ophthalmologic lens and the meter comprising two transparent nets with four lines on each plane of the net. The net planes face the rear focal plane of the ophthalmologic lens and are located on two sides of the above plane and in parallel with it. The lines in the aggregate form the external and internal squares with common diagonals and center. The nets are installed for simultaneous movement in opposite directions along this diagonal by means of a fine adjustment screw. Two scales are applied onto two mutually parallel lines of the net located between the ophthalogic lens and its rear focal plane, together with two parallel and perpendicular lines of the second net these scales form the external and internal readout systems. The fine adjustment screw carries a drum with a scale defining more exactly the dimensions of the sides of the external and internal squares by reference to the index on the device housing. An example of the device design is given on the basis of an aspheric ophthalmologic lens with a refraction of 16 diopters with measurement ranges within 0 to 10 mm and 10 to 20 mm and accuracy of reading making up 0.02 mm.
