FIELD: medicine, particularly, obstetrics. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination by ultrasonic fetometry of three parameters: BPS (biparietal size of fetus head, mm), FL (fetus length, mm), and AC (fetus abdomen periphery, mm). Weight W of fetus body is determined by the sum of productions of these parameters by coefficients of 16.980, 20.000 and 0.007, respectively: W=16.980 BPS+22.000 FL+0.007 AP2. Method is simple in realization, accessible and may be recommended for wide application in women's consultation clinics and obstetric institutions. EFFECT: considerable increase of accuracy in determination of body weight of large fetuses to allow proper selection of tactics of delivery conduction and reduced risk of perinatal pathology.
