FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: device has vertical plate carrying billet magazine, feeder with vertical channel, mechanism which feeds billets to channel item-by-item. Magazine is made as cassette and is coupled to upper part of channel through cut-off device. Bush coaxial with spindle of lathe is positioned in lower part of channel. Cut-off device is manufactured in form of spring-loaded rests and adjustable cams. Cams are secured on feeder body, and rests are mounted on cassette end-face for interaction with cams.
