FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gripping device has housing wherein a mechanism of the clamp with a drive is mounted. The mechanism of the clamp is made up as at least one pair of L-shaped slides. The drive of slides is made up as a tie whose one end is connected to the rod of the air cylinder, gear racks and levers pivotally mounted inside a housing. The levers are connected with the gear racks and slides. The slides are mounted for permitting reciprocation in opposite directions along the axis perpendicular to the axis of the tie.
