METHOD FOR FIXING OF POLYMERIC ROD ANCHORS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to methods of fixing rod anchor-type support in underground mine openings. Initially, at fixing work site, polymeric resin is mixed with acid hardener manually in separate vessel. Proportion of components corresponds to creation of slowly hardening mixture which is then poured into ampoules, sealed off, and introduced into blast hole. During this procedure, together with each ampoule filled with slowly hardening mixture successively introduced into blast hole is ampoule with hardener. On completion of charging blast hole, rod-type anchor is inserted into blast hole. Application of aforesaid method allows for increasing productivity of support operator, reduction of operation cost, giving more mobility, and autonomous utilization of aforesaid supporting method.
