FIELD: test engineering. SUBSTANCE: stand has pneumatic accelerating-braking device including pneumatic cylinder with piston and rod. Cylinder cavity is divided into piston and rod chambers coupled to each other through throttle hole. Stand includes device which returns piston to initial position, and receiver positioned concentrically relative to piston and coupled to compressed-air line. Rear flange of cylinder is made as shut-off valve with air-operated membrane-spring actuating mechanism. Control valve and membrane of mechanism represent bottom part of piston chamber and receiver, respectively. Rod and piston chambers communicate with each other continuously through throttle hole made in piston. Rod chamber also communicates with atmosphere through throttle hole provided in front flange of cylinder. Sealed vessel to be filled with lubricating liquid is secured on cylinder. Guide rod is positioned in cavity of sealed vessel coaxially with piston rod, in cantilever way. Spring being tested is arranged on guide rod with thrust upon end face of piston rod. Vacant end of guide rod is introduced into hole made along piston rod axis. Residual depth of this hole is not less than working travel of spring under test. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and fast action. 1 graph, 1 dwg
