MOULD FOR RECONDITIONING OF PARTS BY ELECTROSLAG SURFACE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2139175 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; reconditioning of heavily worn out parts. SUBSTANCE: mould has inner space following the shape of part to be reconditioning. It has cooling jacket. Slots are made on inner surface of mould space. Slots are filled by alloy materials which can be made in form of inserts. Melting point of alloy materials is higher than that of slag bath. Slots can be made in form of dovetail. Consumable electrode can be made of low carbon steel. Alloying of surfaced layer is provided by alloy material members arranged in slots. EFFECT: reduced cost of reconditioning of parts owing to directed alloying of working surface, enhanced quality of surfacing. 5 cl, 2 dwg
