FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly removing radioactive element impurities form baddeleyite concentrate. SUBSTANCE: concentrate is treated with sulfur acid having concentration of at least 60% at concentrate to acid weight ratio of 1:0.2-1 and at temperature of 120-150 C to obtain solid sulfurization product. Pulp is formed by treating solid sulfurization product with water or aqueous solution of neutralizing agent. Purified concentrate is then separated by gravitation and dried. Neutralizing agent is ammonia or sodium, potassium, calcium, or ammonium carbonate which is used in amount to attain final pH value of 4-9 of pulp. EFFECT: higher degree of removal of radioactive impurities from baddeleyite concentrate, simpler purification process, smaller amount of agents used and narrower range thereof. 2 cl, 5 ex
