SECRECY UNIT OF SLIDE-TYPE LOCKS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: locking devices. SUBSTANCE: secrecy unit is intended for slide-type locks in rim or warded version for locking of high-strength doors. Secrecy unit has selection of movable slides located on guide rods. Each slide is made in the form of two half-slides with semi-openings of secrecy which are facing towards each other in pair and create common for each pair of half-slides secrecy opening with common locking rod for them. Secrecy semi-openings of half-slides are made as going beyond one of side faces of half-slides. Each pair of half-slides is installed on their pair of guide rods. Installed between movable slides after ever other of them and on same guide rods are stationary separating strips. Selection of slides is located between side-members of latch with protrusion for interaction with key bits. Installed between stationary separating strips on rod rigidly secured in side-members are pin springs freely resting by their ends on edge of movable slides turned towards them. Each half-slide is spring-biased by its end of pin spring which is common for pair of half-slides. Aforesaid embodiment of secrecy unit ensures reduction of labour input in manufacture of high-secrecy slide-type locks due to less number of dies needed in manufacture.
