FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to measurement of consumption of electric energy by small consumers. Process consists in continuous measurement of current of consumer, in integration of current in time to generate value related to consumption and in integration in function of network voltage to obtain value proportional to established value of unit of consumption of electric energy. Number of units is counted to obtain value proportional to value subject to payment. It is preferable to execute regulation in correspondence with four ranges of network voltage in the form of range of rated values on both sides of rated voltage of network, range of excess of voltage, expanded range of voltage set out below range of rated values and range of stepped down voltage. Electricity meter includes current transformer having consumer's load line in the capacity of primary winding and secondary winding generating current presenting current of load line. Meter also has circuit for connection to secondary winding to integrate value of such current in time and detector of moment when circuit achieves preset electricity consumption subject to payment. Counting aid is coupled to detector to sum up consumption units. EFFECT: simplified design and small dimensions of electricity meter. 17 cl, 8 dwg
