FIELD: power engineering; line conductors and ground wires. SUBSTANCE: alarm mounted at ice load measurement point converts input signal of ice load sensor into DC voltage which is passed through transformer primary and reactor to receiving unit input. In addition, DC current sensor is inserted in transformer primary circuit and its output voltage is added to alarm voltage thereby compensating for voltage drop across transformer primary and ensuring voltage across receiving unit independent of line insulation resistance. Comparator functions to compare voltages across DC current sensor and alarm causing operation of the latter in case insulation resistance of line drops to inadmissible value. EFFECT: provision for eliminating error in ice load check and for digital monitoring of line insulation resistance. 1 dwg
