FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to special-purpose buildings for example to penitentiary rooms or cells for long stay of people. Room for long stay of people is provided with air-supply gallery and air-discharge gallery which are made in salt mass included in rock matter of earth's crust. Room and galleries are located at distance from each other which excludes their influence on stressed deformed condition of masses of rock matter. Room has vaulted ceiling and perforated floor with saturating filter in the form of crushed salt rock. Room is connected by means of holes in floor and air-supply system with air-supply gallery, and through passage in ceiling room it is connected with air-discharge gallery. Dwelling module is installed in room at clearance with respect to floor, walls, and ceiling. Guarding surfaces of dwelling module are perforated. Value of clearance between dwelling module and floor is not less than , where H - indoor height of room, m; σ - maximal width of hole in room floor, m. Value of clearance between dwelling module and room walls is not less than 0.1 m of length. Value of clearance between dwelling module and room ceiling is not less than 0.1 m of height. Ratio of floor area occupied by dwelling module and floor area of room is not over 0.65. In addition, room is provided with damping arrangement consisting of system of underground openings created in salt mass above and under room and galleries which cover them at top and at bottom and this is conducive to improving level of protection of guarded objects due to attenuation and dissipation of energy of elastic waves occurring in case of impact.
