FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with invention some properties of moulding material are determined in testing shell with compacted sample. Ultrasound and its absorption are measured. Additional properties of sample of moulding material are measured and determined at same time independent of it. Elastic and nonelastic or absorbing properties of sample are found by velocity of ultrasound and by measured amplitudes of ultrasound. One ultrasonic converter as minimum is placed on surface limiting sample. EFFECT: fast and simple determination of properties of moulding material important for its usage. 12 cl, 6 dwg
