FIELD: transport engineering; traction drives. SUBSTANCE: drive has reduction gear and motor. Motor is stationary mounted on car bogie. Reduction gear has hermetically sealed housing with large and small gear wheels. Large gear wheel is installed on axle of wheelset. Reduction gear housing rests on wheelset axle and it is secured on car bogie by two rubber resilient shock absorbers. Rubber shock absorbers are installed from top and bottom of reduction gear housing vertically and diametrically opposite relative to axle of small gear wheel. Novelty is that reduction gear housing is installed with interference relative to wheelset. EFFECT: reduced coupling deformation loses, provision of stabilizing action onto bearings of reduction gear housing, reduced wear of coupling and bearings. 2 cl, 2 dwg
