SUBSTANCE: 2- chloro-2-alkenylphosphonic dichlorides of formula: RCH = CClCH2P(O)Cl2 wherein R is alkyl, are prepared by reaction of 2-alkyl- 1,1-dicyclopropane with phosphorus trichloride in the presence of equimolar amount of aluminium trichloride followed by treatment of reaction mixture with water in methylene chloride.
