FIELD: hydraulic power engineering. SUBSTANCE: machine used to supply with power gas and oil extracting platforms, marine crop plantations, coastal and island settlements, and other users has float in the form of horizontal hollow tube partially filled with water. Maximal cross-sectional area of tube is equal to or smaller than half the maximal length of wave to which machine is rated; installed on top, at side, or inside tube is converter which functions to convert translational motion produced by second vertical tube filled with water and provided with upper toothed racks into rotary motion which is imparted to electric generator through step-up gear that increases its speed and then to user. Machine is capable of running at low waves of Swell Scale numbers 3-4 and at high waves of numbers 5-6 which increases its round-the-year operating time. EFFECT: reduced cost of power generated comparable with that produced by windwheel electric generating plants. 2 cl, 2 dwg
