PARACHUTE COMPARTMENT OF SEPARATING NOSE PART Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: military equipment, design of separating nose parts fitted with parachute stabilization system. SUBSTANCE: parachute compartment includes frame, bottom, separation mechanism, parachute system with forcing member and swivel. Parachute compartment is fitted with gear to move in parachute system in the form of enclosure-piston located on bottom and connected to parachute system by flexible coupling, swivel is equipped with friction clutch, parachute system is attached to bottom by means of swivel which bushing is made fast to bottom and flange of swivel with friction clutch are mounted for axial movement along bushing to positive stop at bottom. Invention makes it possible to ensure required parameters of flight of nose part with parachute system, to diminish scattering by way of forced move-in of parachute into air stream, to eliminate disturbances caused by impact loads from forced move-in of parachute at high speeds of flight of nose part, to improve manufacturing adaptability by 10-15% and to simplify assembly of parachute compartment and ammunition as whole.
