FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: circuit has ac power supply, load powered by the latter, triac that controls ON/OFF operation of power supply, and harmonic current reducing device whose components are connected to ac power supply and function to reduce load-induced harmonic currents. Harmonic current reducing device has first filter inserted between ac power supply and load as well as second filter inserted between ac power supply and triac. First filter has first core with first and second coils wound on it one on top of other; second filter has second core with third and fourth coils wound on it one on top of other. In addition, first and third coils are wound obeying right-hand rule in direction from ac power supply to load; second and fourth coils are wound obeying right-hand rule in direction from load to ac power supply.
