FIELD: mechanical engineering; conversion of torque and revolutions of secondary shaft. SUBSTANCE: proposed device provides for transmission of kinetic rotational energy of primary shaft to secondary shaft by two parallel branches simultaneously. One part of energy is transmitted mechanically over kinematic train of gears of differential mechanism and other part of energy is transmitted electrically over connecting wires converting kinetic energy to electrical energy followed by conversion of electrical energy into kinetic energy by means of respective electric machines. Both electric machines or one of them is located along main axis of differential mechanism for axial motion. Differential mechanism for axial motion. Differential mechanism includes kinematic chain for transmission of rotation to armature of one of electric machines and to secondary shaft. EFFECT: improved parameters of specific mass per transmitted kilowatt of power; reduced nominal power of electric machines due to intermittent duty. 6 cl, 6 dwg
