FIELD: mechanical engineering; power sets.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power sets built around piston internal combustion engine. Invention is implemented in internal combustion engine which has body cylinders in each of which pistons with rods reciprocate executing motion converted into rotation of shaft by action of rods onto two curved surfaces made in form of sine curves on end faces of two cylinders of different diameter. Engine is provided with means for killing torque of rod and for disconnection of piston rods from curved surfaces in case of uselessness. Carrier of planetary reduction gear is coupled with one of sine curves, and planet pinions of planetary reduction gear are coupled with crown and sun gears. Sun gear, in its turn, is coupled with armature or rotor of universal electric machine installed in body of internal combustion engine in its main axle. Rotation of cylinders with curves surfaces can be provided by reciprocation of piston at combustion of fuel with all pistons disconnected only from power, and in combination at simultaneous operation of piston and supply of power.

EFFECT: provision of conversion of reciprocation of pistons into rotation of primary shafts without side forces at stepless control of speed of rotation of secondary shaft owing to coupling of internal combustion engine with electromechanical transmission.
