FIELD: printing industry. SUBSTANCE: suspension Ca(OH)2 is supplemented with organophosphonate compound, e. g. 0.4-0.85 wt % of ethanolamine-bis- (methylenephoshonic acid) or 0.1-1.0 wt % of amine containing-phosphoric acid derivative. Solution containing Al2(SO4)3•16H2O and CO2-containing gas are added to solution. Suspension CaCO3 is subjected to aging at 75-85 C for 1-10 h to attain specific particle surface of more than 60 sq.m/g. Suspension is ground to specific particle surface of more than 15 sq.m/g, mixed with binder, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol or starch, applied to one or both sides of paper pulp on paper-making machine, and dried. Optical density of composite black of the resulting paper, true optical density, spreadability and percentage penetration depth, drying time and solubility are close to characteristics of expensive commercial coated paper. EFFECT: improved properties of the title paper. 18 cl, 6 ex, 1 tbl
