FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: locking mechanism can be used for locking interwheel differentials and interaxle differentials. Differential locking mechanism has following components: two gear lines for connection with links of differential, free-wheeling reversible clutches, device for coupling of axle-shafts containing third gear line, positive-displacement hydraulic transmission including three hydraulic machines which are successively interconnected for creating closed-circuit hydraulic system. First hydraulic machines by means of free-wheeling clutches are connected with respective axle-shafts. Third hydraulic machine features adjustable working capacity and is kinematically linked with gear transmission for bringing torque to differential. Application of aforesaid embodiment of differential locking mechanism enhances traction-speed characteristics, saves fuel, and improves overall efficiency. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
