FIELD: sealing technology. SUBSTANCE: labyrinth seal relates to contactless sealing devices of labyrinth type intended for hermetic sealing of machinery shafts. In labyrinth sealing unit, narrowing zones are created by circular bushes secured on shaft. Widening zones are created by means of thin-wall corrugated washers installed on shaft between bushes. Corrugated washers are locally contacting through their adjacent corrugations with end faces of opposite bushes. Aforesaid embodiment of labyrinth seal simplifies design of sealing unit.
