FIELD: plant protection. SUBSTANCE: plants are protected against diseases caused by pathogenic fungi by inducing system stability of given crop and is distinguished by that the crop of its growth place is subjected to action of composition containing effective amount of compound with general formula I (shown in description) wherein (a) R¹ and R² each independently is hydrogen atom, (b) R³ is hydrogen atom or C₁-C₂₃-alkyl, (c) R⁴ is C₁-C₈-alkyl and R⁵ hydrogen, (d) R⁶ and R⁷ each independently is hydrogen, benzoyl, or phenyl-C₁-C₄-alkyl, (e) X is oxygen, or salt of compound I. Crop can be selected from the group including: cereals, cucumbers, water-melon, asparagus cabbage, cauliflower, kohlrabi, sunflower, potato, tobacco, grape, corn, and rice in amounts sufficient to induce mechanism of local and system immunity of selected crop to suppress fungal disease.
