FIELD: petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: oliphatic paraffins and C₂-C₁₂ olefins are contacted with catalyst comprising, wt %: zeolite, 50-75; zinc phosphide 0.9-5.0; and the (Al₂O₃) binding component balance. Modification with zinc and phosphorus is carried out by mixing zinc phosphide with zeolite. Contacting is effected at 280-580 C, pressure of 0.15-2.0 MPa and volumetric stock feed rate of 0,5-5,0 h¹..
