FIELD: oil refining and petrochemical industries, particularly, methods of production of top-bracket gasolines and aromatic hydrocarbons. SUBSTANCE: catalyst zeolite of pentasil family with silica modulus SiO2/Al2O3=20-80, modified with zinc oxide and boron oxide, and binding agent in the form of aluminum oxide. Catalyst is distinguished by the fact that it additionally contains platinum with the following amounts of components, wt.%: zeolite, 50-75; zinc oxide, 0.5-3.75; platinum, 0.05-0.45; boron oxide, 0.4-3.8; aluminum oxide, the balance. The method ensures reduced number of process operations, increased duration of regeneration-free service of pentasil-containing catalyst, higher efficiency of plant and stability of quality of produced motor gasoline in octane number and chemical composition, increased stability of component composition of obtained aromatic hydrocarbons, both during the cycle of interregeneration service of catalyst and after regeneration. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 tbl, 6 ex
