FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for application in controlling unpurified and purified waste waters at varnish- and-paint and textile industry enterprises. Sample is preliminarily concentrated by extraction with tert-butyl acid in presence of 15-20 wt % of lithium sulfate. Further, determination is effected directly in extract solution involving photometric titration technique based on redoxometric mechanism with aqueous iodine solution as titrant. Concentration of m- nitrobenzoic acid in aqueous solutions that can be measured is 2.42 mcg/cu.dm, and analysis time is 30-40 min.
