FIELD: mechanical engineering; fault finding facilities. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method of fault finding and checking of wire rope condition wire rope tension detector is installed on wire rope to be checked. Tension detector is connected with tension monitoring unit, bushing-template and wire rope are positively displacement relative to each other, and current value of wire rope tension is measured. This value is compared with value of wire rope tension obtained on reference section of this wire rope. EFFECT: increased reliability and accuracy of fault finding process. 2 cl, 1 dwg
