FIELD: methods of reworking run-off of water treatment plants by means of filters with Ca- and Mg-containing ion-exchange material; manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: regenerating solution of softening filters are directed to solution re-usable loop where sulfate-containing regenerating solutions are supersaturated. Solution is divided into two flows: supersaturated and unsaturated by calcium sulfate. Calcium sulfate and magnesium hydroxide settle separately. Magnesium hydroxide settles after settling of calcium sulfate. Solid deposits include high percentage of main components: gypsum, no less than 90% and magnesium hydroxide, no less than 70%. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
