GRAIN DRYER AND INVERTER OF GRAIN DRYER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: grain drying equipment, mainly in agriculture. SUBSTANCE: grain dryer includes receiving and discharging apparatuses; at least two working chambers mounted between said apparatuses one under another and having (each chamber) collectors; system providing gaseous medium flows in working chambers and joined with collectors. Portions of chambers directed one towards another have necking portions in which lateral ducts are connected with central duct. Central ducts of both chambers are mutually joined. Grain dryer also includes at least one inverter mounted between adjacent working chambers along path of grain flow from central duct of one chamber to central duct of another one. Inverter includes at least one section having two supporting walls. Splitters with convex double-slope covers and troughs with inclined bottoms abut(alternating one with another) to inner side of each supporting wall. Inclined bottoms of troughs are directed away from respective supporting wall. Cross walls of splitters and troughs are secured by cantilever fashion to respective supporting walls. There are gaps between free edges of cross walls of mutually opposite troughs and splitters. Slope of upper portion of double-slope cover is directed from respective supporting wall. It provides conditions for descending elongated straw type and other fibrous matters from covers of splitters and from cross walls and prevents clogging of inverter by such matters. Dryer provides motion at least of part of grain material from collector of upper working chamber of dryer to outer walls of its lower working chamber and from outer walls of upper working chamber to collector of lower working chamber.
