FIELD: testing low- and medium-power induction motors. SUBSTANCE: characteristics of induction motor are proposed to be determined with its rotor stalled and stator windings supplied with power from variable- frequency and variable-voltage source; rated voltage is to be determined disregarding effect of resistance of stator windings; in the course of tests present value of this voltage and supply voltage are to be measured until present and rated values coincide. After that, power or torque and current should be measured. Device proposed to implement this method depends for its operation on hardware measurement of voltage disregarding effect of stator winding resistance by means of shunt and potentiometer additionally introduced in circuit. EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy in determining motor characteristics. 2 cl, 2 dwg
