FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: wheel drive has three-member planetary mechanism arranged from outer side of wheel hub and two clutches. Planetary mechanism has epicyclic gear with two rims located on one diameter, carrier with two rims located on different diameter and planet pinions, and sun gear secured on axle-shaft. Carrier is mounted on axial-shaft by means of rolling contact bearing. Epicyclic gear is mounted on carrier on rolling contact bearing. One two-rim clutch is installed for either being fitted in neutral position or interlocking axle-shaft with epicyclic gear or carrier. Other clutch is made for interlocking wheel hub either carrier, or with epicyclic gear, or with both members at a time. EFFECT: enlarged kinematic capabilities of wheel drive. 4 dwg
