FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: transfer case has housing, input, intermediate and output shafts, three- member planetary mechanism including sun gear, carrier with planet pinions and epicyclical wheel, and control clutch sleeves. Input shaft, intermediate shaft and rear axle drive shaft are installed coaxially. Sun gear and epicyclical wheel are connected by tubular shafts with rims arranged near rims secured on ends of intermediate shaft. One control clutch sleeve is installed on input shaft rim for selective meshing either with rim of intermediate shaft, or with rim of one of tubular shafts. Second control clutch sleeve is designed for meshing either with rim of one of tubular shafts, or with rim of carrier. Following control clutch sleeve is designed for meshing housing rim with rims of carrier or epicyclical wheel. Last control clutch sleeve is designed for connecting output shaft of rear axle drive either with rim of intermediate shaft, or with rims of other tubular shaft. All control clutch sleeves are intercoupled by one slider. EFFECT: enlarged ratio range with increase in low gear ratio, increased efficiency at direct transmission of torque to rear axle. 2 dwg
