FIELD: wave energy-to- mechanical work conversion for driving machines, such as generators. SUBSTANCE: converter has two piston cylinders, two deflectors, and pipelines. Pistons of hydraulic cylinders are provided with travel limiters and moving-wall tanks, as well as air valve with its opening lever; their intercommunication is effected through flexible pipeline. The latter accommodates power take-off turbine in its flow path. Each deflector is made in the form of louvers whose operating mechanism is joined through flexible coupling with counterpoise mounted in upper part of respective tank.
