FIELD: construction of pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: safety coil with test weld in middle part is built into pipe-line. Thickness of wall of coil is less than that of wall of pipe-line. Growth of tension in pipe-line is recorded by strain transducer on test weld of coil. When tension reaches value equal to yield point section is shut off with gate valves on both sides, coil is cut out and new one of bigger length is installed. Pumped product is transported over stand-by section of pipe-line for duration of disconnection of this section of pipe-line. EFFECT: increased reliability of pipe-line. 2 cl, 1 dwg
