FIELD: water-proofing of pipes used in water and gas supply systems. SUBSTANCE: line uses the following assemblies: a rack-pipe accumulator, conveyer, drying, pipe cleaning, primer application and drying, ribbon coating application, polyethylene extrusion, pipe cooling, pipe end cutting and manipulator. The drying assembly is made in the form of infrared gas burners, and the cooling assembly - in the form of a chamber with water injectors staggered from four sides; the burners and injectors are arranged along the path of passage of the treated pipe. The cooling assembly tubes are made with staggered injectors directed to the pipe; the whole pipe surface is in water mist. From the rack-accumulator pipes are fed to the conveyer and further - to the drying, cleaning primer application and drying chambers. Polymeric ribbon coating is applied onto the primed pipes and then - polyethylene coating by the method of extrusion with a subsequent rolling-up by a roller. The combination coating is cooled down in the cooling chamber to a temperature of 40-50 deg. C and fed to the end-cutting assembly, and then by means of the manipulator the pipes are fed for inspection. EFFECT: enhanced quality of coating and its durability. 5 dwg
