FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining functional renal reserve in chronic glomerulonephritis patients by applying protein loading method based on stimulated and non-stimulated glomerular filtration rate evaluated from creatinine clearance. Examination is carried out under general motion conditions. Combined functional protein loading test is applied in combination with submaximal bicycle ergometer loading and per os administered cimetidine. Creatinine concentration is determined in urine and blood samples. Creatinine clearance is calculated as CCr. The CCr value showing no growth behavior when compared to a base value, reduced functional renal reserve is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: early diagnosis of latent stages of renal insufficiency.
