FIELD: nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: proposed fuel assembly has fuel elements, supporting grid, spacer grid, end parts including head and tailpiece, as well as can screwed to end parts. Can is easily removed from end parts and reinstalled on them without causing damage to can or end parts because can has inner projections and end parts are provided with respective depressions at their seating points; in the course of assembly can projections enter respective depressions on end parts and screwed in position. Screw head surface protrudes above surface of can projection but it is flush with external surface of can and does not interfere with installation of fuel assembly in container or in nuclear reactor seat. Screws are center-punched to prevent their spontaneous coming loose by setting and bending out their peripheral portions inside holes or slots in can. EFFECT: facilitated assembling procedure and improved reliability of fuel assembly. 4 cl, 7 dwg
