FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: cooling tower has framework made of reinforced material. Joints which transmit moments are provided at points of connecting framework components. Moment-transmitting joints are made by fastening components to mounting strip by means of binding material. Mounting strip can be held in place by means of mechanical fastening articles which endure mounting loads until binding material is hardened. Mounting strip, columns, beam, and mechanical fastening articles create mounting joining units which can take mounting loads until binding material is hardened. Mounting strip, columns, beam, and hardened binding material create together joining units on completion of mounting which can transmit moments from beams to columns and can bear loads on joints upon mounting. Joining units created upon mounting can include mechanical fastening articles. Deflection of beams with joining units upon mounting are in larger degree similar to deflection of simulated beam with moment-transmitting joints than deflection of simulated beam with simple supports. Aforesaid embodiment of cooling tower design ensures higher stability to side displacement together with simultaneous minimized number and types of parts and limited number of horizontal links.
