SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in heat exchangers with tubular membranes. In one aspect, a tubular membrane assembly for a heat exchanger is provided. The tubular membrane assembly includes a manifold containing a manifold body, a tubular membrane, and a fitting connecting the tubular membrane to the manifold body. The fitting is configured to form a sealed connection between the fitting and the tubular membrane. The tubular diaphragm assembly further includes a manifold sealant that holds the tubular diaphragm connected to the fitting.
EFFECT: increase in heat and mass transfer properties for a heat exchanger with tubular membranes by increasing the tightness of the membrane pipes in the tube sheet.
