GEAR TO TAKE SAMPLES OF GROUND Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: rod of gear is mounted for turn about axis and is movably joined to sample container. Gear includes charging chamber, shut-off and trigger mechanism. Dynamic system is manufactured in the form of piston and pusher. Another rod is continuation of shaft of gear, has increased dimensions and is equipped with ring bosses. Diameter of ring bosses corresponds to outer diameter of shaft. Groves arranged on shaft and ring bosses of mentioned rod are spaced by distance that is 1/3 larger than distance between upper and lower ring cuts of column. Gear is fitted with casing with hole in center, with radial protrusions and spring-loaded lever. Casing can move along shaft with fixing at specified depth. This provides for capability to move gear relative to frame not only by 10 cm, but by 30 cm enlarging penetration depth of sample container beyond limits of 30 cm of ground layer. EFFECT: possibility to take samples of ground at sufficient depth without disturbance of their natural structure. 3 dwg
