FIELD: restoration of organic fibrous materials affected by moisture. SUBSTANCE: method consists in placing the article to be restored in container with sawdust and drying it in drying chamber by means of gaseous agent. Sawdust is subjected to preliminary conditioning to obtain the required moisture content; drying is effected at temperature of from 30 to 65 C. Prior to drying, object to be restored is subjected to preheating at raising the temperature of heat-transfer agent from steady magnitude in drying chamber to temperature at drying stage; temperature raising is effected at rate of 0.1 to 2 C/h. The best result of restoration of structural and mechanical properties of article is obtained when mass relationship between article being restored and sawdust is taken from the following formulae: where Pm is mass of moist fibrous material and Psd is mass of conditioned sawdust. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl
