METHOD FOR CLOSING PREMISES HAVING DOUBLE-DOORS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for closing premises having double-doors which are opened in opposite sides. Closing is effected by means of rim lock which is made up of secrecy mechanism and latch connected with it. Also included is locking strip with holes into which introduced during locking are span-pieces of latch, and this allows in locking for rigid connection of both doors and close them by single lock. Lock itself is mounted on external door, but strip is attached to internal door at certain distance from it in such position that holes made in strip when closing are found against span-pieces of latch. Strip is installed for possible displacement to other position for free access into premise. The method of locking prevents entry into premise even after breaking out front door together with its frame. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
