FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking wound secretion from intersuture space and drains. Lysozyme concentration in blood serum and lysozyme contents and bacterium growth in wound exudate are measured during three days. The ratio of wound lysozyme/blood lysozyme being greater than 1 and the same pathogen being detected in wound secretion, antibacterial therapy is considered to be ineffective.
