FIELD: mechanical engineering; equipment working in viscous fluid media. SUBSTANCE: method consists in creating difference in pressures acting on parts from opposite sides of surface by forming layer of particles of viscous fluid medium moving at some distance from it. Provision is made for turning part of layer in way of surface by reducing the pressure of viscous fluid medium in area bounded on one side by layer and by part of surface on other side by taking the jet viscous fluid medium from this area and forming the jet of viscous fluid medium flowing to this area. Simultaneously, part of one jet flowing into above- mentioned area is accelerated as it flows around last part located in above-mentioned area of surface. Proposed device has body in form of aerodynamic profile of wing. Front (relative to direction of probable horizontal flight) part of body has one reservoir filled with viscous fluid medium and one passage which communicates this reservoir with one of sides of outer surface of body. Provision is made for flap mounted on outer surface of body along part of span in front of it relative to direction of probable horizontal flight at possible deflection from body. Part of one passage is made in form of row of holes. Difference of pressures acting on wing from opposite sides forms lift force and possibility of reducing the pressure due to acceleration of jet flowing into above-mentioned area makes it possible to considerably increase lift and to adjust it as required.
