FIELD: measuring equipment for monitoring of angular displacements of shafts of various mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: the encoder has a fixed magnetic core made in the form of two aligned open annular circuits and two additional aligned open annular circuits attached with their ends to the ends of the first two circuits. The encoder circuits are connected by a cross-shaped jumper. The open annular circuits consists of two parts formed by a section perpendicular to the axis of the rings. The cross-shaped jumper also consists of two parts formed by its longitudinal section. The parts of the annular circuits and the jumpers are separated by a gap of non-magnetic material. The encoder has two parallel U-shaped rotors with exciting windings, located on their jumpers. The encoder also has two additional U-shaped rotors located on the first two ones coaxially with them, made in the form of two half-shafts each. Located on the additional rotors are additional exciting windings. The measuring winding is positioned on the cross-shaped jumper.
