IMMUNOSTIMULATING AGENT Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, immunology. SUBSTANCE: agent has complex of immunopeptides obtained by culturing the stimulated leukocytes from peripheral blood of mammals followed by isolation of the end agent. Pig or human leukocytes are used as the parent raw for the claimed agent preparing. Leukocytes are stimulated with substance of the group of mitogenic lectins, in part, phytohemagglutinin or concanavalin A. Then lectin is removed from the system by centrifugation. Culturing is carried out for 20-24 h, supernatant is obtained and the end agent (molecular mass is 40 kDa or less) is isolated from supernatant by fractionation. The end agent can be obtained in lyophilized form. Agent activates cells of phagocytic order, regulates processes of inflammation and regeneration and showing promise for treatment and prophylaxis of inflammatory diseases in persons with damaged immune system. Invention can be used for preparing the novel immunostimulating agent based on the complex of natural immunopeptides regulating processes of inflammation and regeneration.
