FIELD: power circuit breaker manufacture. SUBSTANCE: circuit breaker has making electromagnet supplied with rectified current and built up of coil, armature, stop, and yoke, as well as double-arm lever, shaft, control rod, movable and fixed contacts, pawls, breaking electromagnet, and hold- down spring. Making electromagnet armature is hinged through rod to one end of lever whose other end is hinged to movable-contact control rod of arc-control chamber; ratio of clearance between effective surface of armature and that of stop to clearance between effective surface of stop and inner surface of yoke is between 1.0 and 1.1. Circuit breaker is fully latched in response to short circuit with making electromagnet supplied with power from source depending on voltage across circuit-breaker handled circuit.
