FIELD: medicine, particularly, vascular surgery; applicable in surgery of syndrome of vena cava superior. SUBSTANCE: method includes mobilization and lengthening of greater omentum with preservation of right and left vascular pedicles; formation of subcutaneous tunnel between laparotomy access and zone of external jugular veins; bringing of greater omentum through formed tunnel and its spreading above right and left external jugular veins; additional formation of anastomosis between largest veins of greater omentum and right and left external jugular veins. EFFECT: provided decompression in vena cava superior system and regression in development of venous encephalopathy. 1 tbl
