FIELD: environment control; manufacture of synthetic rubber; petrochemical and oil-producing industries. SUBSTANCE: method consists in burning aromatic hydrocarbons together with natural gas in furnace of steam generating boiler at temperature of 1000 to 1200 C in presence of linear or cyclic unsaturated oligomers of butadiene at oligomerization number ranging from 2 to 4 at mass relationship in mixed flow of used air of above-mentioned oligomers and aromatic hydrocarbons of 1:50-100. EFFECT: reduction of stay period of used air in combustion zone by 15 to 30 times; increased degree of air cleaning to 98-99%; reduction of residual hydrocarbon content in cleaned air by 2 to 2.5 times. 1 tbl, 2 ex
